Beaches as far as the eye can see<\/h2>\t\t\t\t\t

Espace NAPAGA\u2019s<\/strong> three beaches are renowned for their fine sand and intimate atmosphere. They stretch for several kilometres, making them an ideal destination for a long romantic walk, a family outing, or a day of swimming. Locals love them, and visitors embrace them!<\/p>\n

A detour to the seaside is a must \u2013 the Gulf of St. Lawrence awaits! Dive into the Grande Anse when the sun is at its zenith, or walk along its shores and marvel at its magnificent sunsets.<\/p>\n

During high season, a team of lifeguards from the City of Chandler provides partial supervision of the third beach. The other beaches are unsupervised.<\/em><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t

Trails for all tastes<\/h2>\t\t\t\t\t

The Pointe de Pabos<\/strong> trails allow hikers and cyclists to cover more than 18 kilometres in an enchanting setting. By the sea, along the barachois, or in the forest, nature and history surprise and challenge walkers at every turn. Accessible year-round, the trails change with the seasons, revealing vibrant colours and breathtaking panoramas.<\/p>\n

The Circuit des B\u00e2tisseurs<\/h2>\t\t\t\t\t

The Circuit des B\u00e2tisseurs is a 4-kilometre bicycle and pedestrian trail that stretches from the Atelier d\u2019art, located on McGrath Avenue South in Chandler, to Espace NAPAGA. Its highlight: the longest aluminium footbridge in North America, at 145.70 metres, overlooking the barachois.<\/p>\n

Taking a historical approach, the Circuit des B\u00e2tisseurs traces the period of the French regime, including the Conquest, to Chandler\u2019s industrial era, when the La Gasp\u00e9sia pulp and paper mill was at the heart of the town\u2019s economic activity. Interpretive panels, objects, and artifacts recount the rich local history, the repercussions of which are still felt in the Gasp\u00e9 Peninsula and throughout Quebec.<\/p>\n

In addition to its interpretive mission, this historic trail is also an ideal location for birdwatching. A telescope lets you scan the horizon for seabirds.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t
